The comment began with the 76ers star praising his teammate De’Anthony Melton, before dropping clear shade on the Raptors.

Joel Embiid with a disrespectful jab at the Toronto Raptors after the team beat in OT

Embiid started by praising his teammate De’Anthony Melton, before he threw some shade
‘But when you play a team like Toronto, they don’t care. Apparently, most of the time, they don’t care about winning.
‘They just want to shut down other star players,’ the Sixers big man continued. ‘But when you play that, you have to be ready all night.
‘You have to stay alert and have the confidence to just keep shooting it and hope you make them when they come, and that’s what he did tonight.’
Saying that the Raptors, or any team for that matter, don’t care about winning is certainly a statement that won’t go over well in the opposing locker room, however, it clearly shows Embiid’s frustration with the defense he played against to him. .
