Great Britain crashed out of the United Cup in Sydney after losing to the United States, despite Cameron Norrie fighting back to a three-set victory over Taylor Fritz

Cameron Norrie got past Taylor Fritz in Sydney but was unable to prevent Great Britain from being knocked out of the United Cup by the USA.

After the ‘city final’ started with Katie Swan defeated by Madison Keys, Norrie took out Fritz in three sets in two hours and 15 minutes at the Ken Rosewall Arena.

The British number one made the decisive break in the ninth game of the third set when he won 6-4, 5-7, 6-4.

The US regained the lead in the tie as world number three Jessica Pegula cruised to a 6-2, 6-0 win over Harriet Dart.
