‘I’m not taking my tweet down, I’m not taking my tweet down. I believe what I said,’ he added with a big laugh.

Barkley wasn’t done there, adding, ‘I know like Shannon, I know what it’s like to work with someone you hate.’

Sharpe caused a stir on Tuesday after not showing up for work Indisputablebefore returning the next day where he ran into Bayless.

Bayless defiantly refused to delete a tweet questioning the NFL’s decision to postpone Monday’s Bills-Bengals game after Buffalo safety Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest on the field.

Even this came at the expense of Sharpe’s monologue, which he was unable to get through without being interrupted by his debate partner.

In mid-December, Barkley and O’Neal got into a fight between Sharpe and Bayless.

The charade started when O’Neal told Barkley ‘I will smack you right now’, during their halftime coverage.

Barkley played the role of NFL Hall of Famer, Sharpe, who put his glasses on before taking them off, yelling ‘insult me again.’

Sharpe took off his glasses on Monday’s debate show after getting angry with Bayless in the middle of an explosive discussion surrounding Tom Brady.

‘This guy is playing at a high level at 45 when you have to stop at 35,’ Bayless said.

Sharpe, furious, replied: ‘That’s what you’re doing! Every time I call for something to talk about, I get it.’

Sharpe (L) and Bayless had a heated exchange when the former returned to the Weds show.

SHARPE-BAYLESS ON-AIR BLOWUP

SHARP: There’s been a lot of speculation as to why I wasn’t on the air yesterday, and I’m not going to get into speculation, speculation, innuendo, but I will say this: Watching that game Monday night, what happened to Damar Hamlin hit home to me. quite different.

As an NFL fraternity, when injuries happen – and we know injuries are a part of the game, I’ve seen guys suffer for ACLs and achilles tears – but I’ve never had to see anyone get back up and fight for their farm life, so it was a little different for me, because I remember seeing my brother [former Packers receiver Sterling Sharpe] paralyzed on the field, temporarily, and he was able to regain focus.

Skip who tweeted something, and even if I didn’t agree with the tweet, and I hope Skip removes it…

BAYLESS: Timeout. I won’t take it down, because I stand by my tweet.

SHARP: Skip, let me finish.

BAYLESS: No, you go.

SHARP: … I can’t even get through a monologue without you interrupting me.

CROSSTALK

SHARP: I was just gonna say, Skip, I didn’t want, yesterday, to get into a situation where Damar Hamlin is the issue. We should be talking about him, and not get into your tweet.

That’s what I would do. But you won’t even let me finish my opening monologue without interrupting you.

BAYLESS: I was under the impression you weren’t going to say this, because no one here had a problem with that tweet.

SHARP: It’s clear the bosses want you to give an explanation, it’s clear…

BAYLESS: No, they didn’t.
