Fulham are looking at alternatives if they cannot agree personal terms with Arsenal’s top target Cedric Soares.

Norwich’s Max Aarons, Millwall’s Danny McNamara and Luton’s James Bree are all under consideration with Marco Silva keen to bolster his right-back options before the window closes.

The Fulham boss is eager to increase his squad depth this month but is also unwilling to pay over the odds to do so – hence why a move for Cedric could fall through.

Arsenal are keen to sell Cedric as he is largely surplus to requirements at the Emirates Stadium – with Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu options.

Cedric, 31, has just one Premier League appearance to his name this season, coming on as a substitute. His only start in 2022-23 was in the Carabao Cup defeat against Brighton.

The London side have similar transfer concerns for Everton midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure and the financial risks his move could pose.

Fulham made a strong start to the season, despite likely struggling following promotion and beating Hull 2-0 in the third round of the FA Cup.
