Lamar’s Doctors Didn’t Think He’d Walk Again After Brothel Overdose

After signing his divorce papers from Khloe Kardashian, Odom headed to the Bunny Ranch, a legal brothel outside of Las Vegas, where he was found unresponsive.

‘All my doctors that were around me when– when the incident happened, it was like a walking miracle,’ Odom said.

‘When I came out, I was never supposed to walk or talk again,’ the NBA star said.

Meet Khloe Kardashian

Lamar had been playing for the Los Angeles Lakers for almost a decade when, in 2009, he went to a party, thrown by his new teammate Ron Artest.

‘Ron Artest did a welcome to the LA party, I was sitting in VIP … I was there with another girl, a really attractive girl, and I saw this girl,’ Odom began.

‘I knew Rob Kardashian, but I didn’t know who Khloé was at the time. I [let her know] who I am and it’s crazy because after 30 days, we’re getting married. That was scary,’ Odom admitted.

Kudos to Kris Jenner

When Levin asked him how Kris Jenner treated him, Odom revealed, ‘I used to call her Mama. He showed so much love. He is cool. I loved him. We all went into business. It was a family business — you know that, Harvey.

I’m comfortable enough [for her to be my manager]. I’m happy enough to do it. … I made money. I came out on the positive side,’ he added.

Odom continued, ‘I think people don’t really give them credit for their family dynamic. The family will be passing by and I think they handled their mischief very well.’

He said he eventually told Khloe about his drug use, adding, ‘You can’t hide that forever. … She was hurt, but Khloé is a good wife. He is not dismissive or [saying], ‘Get away from me.’ … He is protective and he prefers to protect me. He [stood by me]. I mean behind the scenes, I put her through some s—t. When Levin asked if he was ‘positive’ that he wasn’t on drugs the night he overdosed, Odom said, ‘As long as I’m positive, I’m a Black man sitting in front of you.’

Lamar’s Look Back Before Getting Clean
