Manchester City are reportedly ready to base their midfield revamp around Jude Bellingham next summer – but will wait on the futures of Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva before deciding how much to invest.

Pep Guardiola is looking to overhaul things in the middle of the park with some of his players not getting any younger, but City won’t break the bank until they know if Gundogan and Silva are set to -commit to the club, according to ESPN.

Gundogan’s contract at the club expires this summer – while Silva’s deal runs until 2025, but the Portuguese star has been strongly linked with an exit.

If Man City face a midfield overhaul, Bellingham – who is rated at £120m – is the man they want to lead them in the future as they look to convince him to join the Etihad against Liverpool and Real Madrid.

However, the 19-year-old remains Liverpool’s main target and both English clubs will have to contend with the might of Real Madrid, who are reportedly leading the race for his signature.

Borussia Dortmund expect the highly sought-after midfielder to decide on his future in the coming weeks, according to 90min.
