Former Arsenal midfielder Gilberto Silva has gone into hiding to help a Gunners fan’s dream come true.
Arsenal and their club sponsor Emirates have teamed up to reunite fans from around the world to try and find the club’s Global Gunners.
After being selected as the ultimate ‘Global Gooner,’ winner Adrian Ntwatwa, aged 33 from Kenya was flown via Nairobi to London with Emirates where he received the match day experience of a lifetime – which with the surprise inclusion of Arsenal’s former Brazilian star.
The Arsenal legend, a member of the club’s Invincibles team since 2004, is set to surprise the lucky winner at the airport and then host Adrian for the Gunners’ clash with Brighton earlier this month.
Adrian was accompanied by his friend and fellow Gunners fan Sam Rugunda. The couple met in New York and bonded over their love of all things Arsenal. Seeing the club play in person was on their bucket list and now became a reality.

As well as taking in the match – a disappointing 3-0 defeat at the hands of the Seagulls – Adrian and Sam enjoyed a private match day stadium tour, and were in prime position to see the players arrive from the bus and warm-up pitch. side.
On the experience, Adrian said: ‘It was a once in a lifetime experience and the whole day at the Emirates Stadium was incredible!

Gilberto joined Arsenal from Atletico Minero in 2002 and went on to play 244 times for the North London side, scoring 24 times.
During his six-year stay at the Emirates, Silva won the Premier League in 2004, an FA Cup and two Community Shields.
